HSE Integrated

HSE is a company with facilities across Canada, and needed to develop a new way to deliver their orientation to new employees in all parts of the country. This orientation is a vital aspect of HSE’s hire process, since it enables employees to understand their job and the different aspects of safety that goes with it, as well as receive the certificates necessary for starting work.

OUR SOLUTION

HSE wanted to be able to get people through their program quickly, but still ensure they had the necessary knowledge to pass the final test. After meeting with them and discussing the problems with their current process, we wrote up a proposal for developing a complete web based system. Within the system HSE would be able to build limitless numbers of modules containing limitless numbers of slides, much like a Powerpoint presentation. They would also have the ability to grant employees access to certain modules, so those that needed the ability to access and edit their own modules would be able to do so.

Each slide is built with an editor much like Microsoft Word, so it’s an easy transition for people who have used the popular editor before. There is no need to learn HTML to develop these slides.

Just like the modules, HSE would have complete control over the testing area. They could input as many questions as needed for the test, and during the actual exam itself the questions would come up in random order. If someone had to write the test more than once, they would have to do more than simply remember answers from the previous testing.
